About: Jamestown Seafood’s aquaculture practices celebrate the heritage of native S’Klallam traditions. Shellfish have been woven through the S’Klallam cultural tapestry for tens of thousands of years. S’Klallam, meaning “the strong and clever people,” coexist respectfully and responsibly, valuing the integral way that water connects villages, connects species, connects people. Along the Salish Sea—where shellfish harvesting remains a family tradition—Tribes have an adage: “When the tide is out, the table is set.” Today, whether these delicacies are eaten raw, sautéed with fresh herbs, simmered into chowders, or grilled over open flame; the possibilities for our fresh, succulent seafood offerings are endless.

Spawning and early growth of our culinary treasures takes place at theTribe’s Point Whitney hatchery in Brinnon, Washington, and in Kona, Hawaii, where oyster seed is nurtured, lovingly fed algae grown on site, and bathed in constantly flowing cold, clean sea water.

Later, fed by the Salish Sea, the pristine beaches of the Straight of Juan de Fuca provide a haven for our shellfish gems to mature. Constantly refreshed by colder currents that come in from the Pacific Ocean, the water provides ideal conditions for oysters and geoduck clams to mature. As the tides ebb and flow, waves kiss the shore and retreat again, and soon, this rhythmic allure of the sea beacons a harvest. The hospitality of our region’s shores render oysters of unparalleled taste and quality. We invite you to indulge in the delicacies of our superior saltwater beds— freshly shucked, with a hint of cucumber on the palate and a delicious flavor.

Without compromise, Jamestown Seafood’s focus is on seafood grown by people who are passionate about sustainable aquaculture. Throughout generation upon generation of cultural heritage and family cuisine, every morsel has been grown and gathered with the utmost respect for our home, the earth, and for our ancestors, our legacy. We invite you to share in enjoying the treasured bounty from our pristine saltwater beds to nourish your body and nurture your soul.

Jamestown Seafood’s products are not available to the public and for wholesale only.
