About: Javelina PDX is an Indigenous-owned restaurant, traveling food and catering pop-up by Chef Alexa Numkena-Anderson.

Alexa's food showcases her experiences and culture into a unique culinary style that focuses on her Pacific Northwest Tribe's cooking, with a flair for the Hopi of the Southwest. All of her dishes feature Indigenous first foods and non-colonial ingredients, produces, and wild game that can be found on “Turtle Island.” Alexa specializes in powwow comfort food items she enjoyed as a child, like her frybread. She celebrates her Indigenous roots by keeping to traditional and ancient cooking methods, but in a modern setting.
